Shaping the next generation of student guides to creatively convey local history and culture.

The Center for Cultural and Sports Promotion, Walailak University, through the Division of Arts and Culture Promotion, organized the “Junior Tour Guide at Tumpang Archaeological Site” Workshop 2025 on August 13 and 27, 2025, held at the Sports Science Building and the Tumpang Silpakarn Building, located at the historic Tumpang Archaeological Site within Walailak University.

The workshop was designed to provide students with hands-on training, enhancing their communication and presentation skills to convey historical and cultural knowledge in an engaging and creative manner. It also aimed to build students’ confidence in becoming professional “junior tour guides” capable of narrating local stories with authenticity and professionalism.

In addition, the program emphasized raising awareness among students about the importance of preserving and cherishing archaeological sites and significant landmarks within the university. This effort contributes to the continuity and promotion of the cultural heritage of the local community, ensuring its sustainable transmission to future generations.
