Walailak University Ready to Host THAILAND U-CHAMPIONSHIP Southern Qualifiers with 7 Universities Competing
Walailak University will host the 3rd Football Thailand U-Championship Southern Qualifying Round, where football players from seven universities will compete from 28–30 June 2025 at Tumpang Stadium.
Walailak University has been honored as the host of the 3rd Football Thailand U-Championship Southern Qualifying Round, scheduled for 28–30 June 2025 at Tumpang Stadium, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. Participating teams include Thaksin University, Songkhla Rajabhat University, Phuket Rajabhat University, Nakhon Si Thammarat Rajabhat University, Suratthani Rajabhat University, Prince of Songkla University, and Walailak University. The tournament will also attract more than 1,000 supporters and attendees.
Assistant Professor Dr. Marisa Phumiphak Na Nongkhai, Director of the Center for Cultural and Sports Promotion, Walailak University, stated that the university is fully prepared to host the competition, with a main stadium certified for Thai League 3 and national-level tournaments, four training fields, adequate accommodations, and referees in accordance with international standards. She added that being selected as host follows the success of the 41st Tumpang Games and reflects the university’s commitment to enhancing the athletic potential of higher education students. The competition will also serve to select four teams from Southern Thailand to advance to the national finals, which will be held from 1–10 September 2025 at Ubon Ratchathani Rajabhat University, Ubon Ratchathani Province.
