Presidential Policy
Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University, delivered operational policies for the Center for Student Promotion and Development on October 17, 2025, at Mokkhalan Meeting Room, Professor Dr. Wichit Srisa-an Building, Walailak University, as follows:
- Encourage students to engage in physical exercise to foster robust physical health, true sportsmanship—embracing victory, defeat, and forgiveness—and disciplined conduct.
- Promote comprehensive student well-being and preventive health, ensuring students remain healthy and free from undesirable illnesses.
- Encourage and support student participation in creative activities to cultivate a new generation defined by an innovative and creative mindset.
- Promote arts and culture preservation by engaging students in preserving cultural traditions and pursuing academic inquiry, fostering a profound appreciation for Thai cultural values.
- Encourage and support student involvement in developing initiatives that enhance the reputation and public image of Walailak University, gaining broad societal recognition.

To transform the Center into a High-Performance Organization (HPO) with efficient administration, emphasizing cross-functional integration to empower and support students holistically.
- Develop transparent and verifiable monitoring and evaluation systems across all divisions to track student promotion and development operations effectively.
- Establish quantitative and qualitative assessment frameworks to evaluate the efficacy of initiatives at both project and policy levels, utilizing feedback loops for continuous improvement.
- Align performance monitoring systems with Walailak University’s strategic plan—particularly in student development, well-being promotion, arts and culture, and sports science—to ensure operational outcomes directly contribute to the university’s strategic milestones.
