Tumpang Silpakharn Welcomes Thai PBS "Silpa Samosorn Sanjorn" to Explore the Sacred Heritage of Tambralinga
On September 4, 2026, Tumpang Silpakharn at Walailak University welcomed the Thai PBS “Silpa Samosorn Sanjorn” delegation under the project “Tracing the Sacred Footprints of Tambralinga.” The visit highlighted the historical, gastronomic, and cultural heritage of Nakhon Si Thammarat, establishing Tumpang Silpakharn as an emerging cultural tourism destination.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surin Maisrikrod, Vice President for Educational Development and Corporate Communications, delivered welcoming remarks on behalf of the President, reaffirming the university’s commitment to serving as an anchor institution for southern cultural capital. Visitors experienced a signature Philang Kasa beverage paired with traditional Kanom Khee Man sweets, toured the historical Tumpang Archaeological Site, and concluded the evening with authentic southern heritage dining accompanied by folk musical performances.
