On August 25, 2026, the Secretariat and Coordination Division held the 4th Executive Committee Meeting (No. 4/2026) for the 52nd University Games of Thailand “Tumpang Games” to accelerate preparations regarding venues, technical operations, the opening ceremony, and public relations to welcome delegations and competitors from 121 institutions nationwide. Dr. Mongkol Teerananond, Vice President for University Relations and Development, chaired the meeting, attended by all committee divisions.

Key Highlights of Preparations:

• Venue and Technical Readiness: Currently over 60% prepared, utilizing campus venues as primary locations alongside external venues for 18 sports disciplines.
• Spectacular Opening Ceremony: Featuring two major Southern cultural performances redesigned for high visual impact, scheduled at the Main Stadium.
• Communication Channels and Key Dates: The official website is set to launch on September 4, 2026, with a major press conference scheduled between December 21–25, 2026.
• Medals and Souvenirs: Eco-friendly medals are being prepared, and mascot designs for each sports discipline are near completion.
• Sponsorship and Tourism: Partnering with public and private sectors to develop the “One QR Code, Tour the Whole City” system highlighting Nakhon Si Thammarat, aiming to expand cooperative networks to support tournament organization.

The chairman emphasized close coordination among all parties to achieve the highest standards in tournament management and drive the university toward national leadership.
