Walailak University joined forces with the Lawn Tennis Association to organize the thrilling “PPT-Lawn Tennis” Southern youth tournament, attracting young athletes nationwide to compete.

On March 21-22, 2026, at the Tennis Courts within the Central Tumpang Stadium, Walailak University, in collaboration with the Lawn Tennis Association of Thailand under Royal Patronage, held the “PPT-Lawn Tennis Southern Youth Skill Development” competition. Young athletes aged 8-18, along with coaches and parents from various southern and central provinces, such as Bangkok and Ayutthaya, actively competed in the boys’ and girls’ singles categories.

In the closing ceremony, Asst. Prof. Dr. Marisa Poomiphak Na Nongkhai, Director of the Center for Student Promotion and Development, was honored to preside over the award presentation to the 1st-3rd place athletes. Mr. Buranat Chawalitanon, a representative from the Lawn Tennis Association, also joined the ceremony to congratulate the youth on their excellent performances.

Organizing this competition not only promoted tennis skills among youth but also reaffirmed the readiness of the Central Tumpang Stadium at Walailak University to host future sports events at international standards.
