Walailak University Students Win First Place in Petanque at the 15th Thailand–Malaysia Friendship Games
Walailak University students brought pride to the institution by claiming the championship title in Petanque at the 15th Thailand–Malaysia Friendship Games 2025, held at the University Malaysia Sabah.
The Center for Cultural and Sports Promotion, Walailak University, extends its congratulations to Ms. Natcha Khongjam, a 4th-year student of the Bachelor of Science Program in Sports Science and Exercise under the School of Medicine, and Mr. Natthaphon Aatphailin, a 2nd-year student of the Bachelor of Education Program in Physical Education. Both students proudly represented the university and achieved first place in Petanque at the prestigious event between Thai and Malaysian higher education institutions.
The competition was held from August 18–22, 2025, at the University Malaysia Sabah (UMS), Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia, with athletes from both nations participating to strengthen friendship and foster cooperation in sports at the higher education level.
This outstanding achievement marks another moment of pride for Walailak University, reflecting the potential, determination, and sporting excellence of its students in bringing recognition to the institution both nationally and internationally.
