Walailak University’s “Asian Journal of Arts and Culture” Submits for Scopus Indexing under TCI–TSRI–Scopus Project

The editorial team of the Asian Journal of Arts and Culture (AJAC), under the Center for Cultural and Sports Promotion, Walailak University, participated in the submission process for Scopus indexing as part of the TCI–TSRI–Scopus Phase 2 project at King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (KMUTT).

On Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at 10:00 a.m., the editorial team of the Asian Journal of Arts and Culture (AJAC) from the Center for Cultural and Sports Promotion, Walailak University, led by distinguished representatives, joined the official submission session for Scopus indexing. The event was hosted by Professor Dr. Narongrit Sombatsompop, Head of the Thai Journal Citation Index Centre (TCI), and held at Meeting Room 350, 7th Floor, Office of the President Building, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi (Bangmod Campus).

This activity was conducted under the project “Enhancing the Quality of Thai Journals for Inclusion in Scopus (2023–2025)”, which aims to support at least 40 Thai academic journals to be indexed in Scopus within a three-year timeframe, using an accelerated and efficient evaluation process compared to the standard submission route.

The submission marks a significant milestone for AJAC in its journey toward international recognition. It reflects Walailak University’s commitment, through the Center for Cultural and Sports Promotion, to advancing academic quality in arts and culture research and contributing to the visibility of Thai scholarship on the global stage.
