On June 9, 2024, Associate Professor Dr. Urai Jareepraipon, Vice President of Walailak University, received the host flag for the University Staff Sports Tournament of Thailand from Professor Dr. Pornthep Sribunditmongkol, President of Chiang Mai University. This marks the handover for Walailak University to host the 41st University Staff Sports Tournament, titled “Tumpang Games 2025,” to be held at Walailak University in the following year. The event was attended by Assistant Professor Dr. Pitipong Yodmongkol, Chairman of the Tournament Organizing Committee, Assistant Professor Dr. Marisa Phumipak Na Nongkhai, Acting Director of the Center for the Promotion of Culture and Sports, and a delegation of athletes and representatives from various universities.
