Walailak University, in collaboration with H.D.Y. Badminton Club, Songkhla Province, organized the \u201cWU & H.D.Y. Badminton Championship 1st Edition\u201d with over 350 athletes participating.<\/strong><\/p>

On November 16\u201317, 2024, the Center for Cultural and Sports Promotion, Walailak University<\/strong>, together with H.D.Y. Badminton Club, Songkhla Province, hosted the inaugural \u201cWU & H.D.Y. Badminton Championship\u201d<\/strong> at the WU Badminton Courts<\/strong>, Walailak University. The venue featured 12 standard courts to accommodate the competition. The event aimed to promote and develop sporting skills among youth, students, university staff, and athletes from various clubs across Southern Thailand, attracting more than 350 participants.<\/p>

The results showed outstanding performances by Walailak University athletes, who secured three prizes<\/strong>:
\u2013 Men\u2019s Doubles (P+ Level):<\/strong> Mr. Phonthakorn Srirung (Walailak University) and Mr. Paphangkorn Srirung (Koh Bad Team) \u2013 1st Runner-up<\/em>
\u2013 Men\u2019s Doubles (S+ Level):<\/strong> Mr. Kritipat Praopring (Siam Nakornthani Team) and Mr. Ratchanon Chaisit (Walailak University) \u2013 2nd Runner-up<\/em>
\u2013 Men\u2019s Doubles (S\u2013 Level):<\/strong> Mr. Teerapong Nupol and Mr. Nithiphat Kongarun (both from Walailak University) \u2013 2nd Runner-up<\/em><\/p>

The award ceremony was honored by Prof. Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong<\/strong>, President of Walailak University, together with Dr. Mongkol Theerananon<\/strong>, Assistant to the President, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Marisa Phumipak Na Nongkhai<\/strong>, Director of the Center for Cultural and Sports Promotion, who congratulated and presented awards to the athletes.<\/p>
