On November 19, 2023, Walailak University co-hosted the Kathin Samakkhi ceremony at Khlong Din Temple, Hua Taphan Subdistrict, Tha Sala District, Nakhon Si Thammarat Province. to build an alms hall with Phrakru Samuh Kittisak Abbot of Wat Khlong Din is the president of the Sangha and Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong is the acting president of Walailak University. He is the president of the Kathina Organization. Together with Mr. Kitisak Sikaew and Mr. Nampueng, doing business with Buddha Company. On this occasion, we were honored by Associate Professor Dr. Urai Jaraprapal, Vice-Rector, representative of Professor Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong presided over and offered the Tri Kathin robe at the ceremony. Dr. Mongkol Teerananon, Assistant Rector. Asst. Prof. Dr. Athit Boonrodchu, Assistant Rector, Asst. Prof. Dr. Marisa Phumkam Na Nongkhai, Acting Director of the Center for Culture and Sports Promotion, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Pichak Samphan, Deputy Director of the Center for Scientific Equipment. and technology along with faculty, staff, and students of Walailak University As well as more than 500 faithful Buddhists joined in making merit by offering Kathin Samakkhi at Khlong Din Temple. and the group of Baan Boon Phuttha Phrom Panyo The Emerald Buddha was also offered at the chapel at Khlong Din Temple. Incidentally, from the said Kathin Samakkhi ceremony, 40 Tri Kathin robes were received. The total Kathin factor sum as of November 20, 2023 amounted to 231,472 baht.<\/p><\/div>

The Kathin ceremony is considered a tradition that all Buddhists have continued to practice. and have faith that it is “The peak of great merit” until it led those who took part in the Kathin ceremony Received the greatest benefit imaginable.
