On Saturday night, October 31, 2020, Walailak University by Walailak Abode of Culture In collaboration with the student affairs section And administrative organization Walailak University Student Organization Organize the Loy Krathong Festival at Lan Plearn Ta in front of the Thai Buri Building Walailak University. To carry on the heritage of good Thai traditions Expresses gratitude to the Goddess of the Ganges As well as to build a good relationship between the community and the university. With administrators, personnel, students of Walailak University as well as the general public Flock to attend the event together lively<\/p>

This opportunity was honored by Prof. Dr. Sombat Thamrongthanyawong, President of Walailak University. Preside over the ceremony With Associate Professor Dr. Sarawut Palipoch, Vice President for Student Affairs, said the report. In which the President opened the event that Walailak University realizes the importance of the mission of preserving arts and culture. Which must be developed in conjunction with the mission of teaching and learning Research studies And academic service Because art and culture are the cornerstone of reconciliation and strength. In the event, there was a Noppamas goddess contest for students and personnel and the Miss Ladyboy contest with performances from the dance club. WU BAND and WMC Universal Band Including fairs for selling products, Folk games. And inviting participants to dress in Thai fabrics to match the atmosphere of Loi Krathong. As well as participating in a campaign to make krathongs from biodegradable materials<\/p>

The first runner-up is Dr. Piyalak Nuarerk, School of Science.The 2nd runner-up is Ajarn Taddao Rakmak, School of Liberal Arts.The popular beauty queen Miss Nuanphit Medecha Academic Service Center.<\/p>
