Walailak University Sports Personnel Join the 1st Training Program on “Innovative Teaching and Learning Management under UKPSF”
13 sports personnel from Walailak University participated in the 1st training program on “Innovative Teaching and Learning Management under UKPSF,” enhancing modern and effective teaching skills in physical education.
On October 22, 2024, a total of 13 sports personnel from the Center for Cultural and Sports Promotion, Walailak University, including part-time lecturers, academic staff, and officers, joined the training program “Innovative Teaching and Learning Management under UKPSF” for physical education academics (1st batch) at the Phattharathammaphorn Conference Room, Walailak University.
The training featured three distinguished experts as speakers:
1. Asst. Prof. Dr. Suthanya Duang-in, Assistant to the President and Acting Director of the Center for Excellence in Learning and Teaching
2. Dr. Pramet Hemrachatnon, School of Medicine, Sport and Exercise Science Program
3. Mr. Worawit Praditkan, School of Education, Faculty of Education and Liberal Arts
The training program covered the following key topics:
1. Outcome-Based Education and Constructive Alignment: Foundations for Effective Teaching and Learning – introducing the principles of OBE and how to design learning activities aligned with intended learning outcomes, teaching strategies, and effective assessments.
2. Introducing the UKPSF 2023 Framework – providing an overview of the UK Professional Standards Framework 2023 and its application in teaching development and educational excellence.
3. Fundamentals of Innovative Assessment – offering foundational concepts and examples of modern and context-appropriate assessment methods.
4. AI for Smart Teaching – exploring the use of AI technology to support instructional design, teaching, and assessment, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of digital-age learning.
On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Surin Maisrikrod, Vice President of Walailak University, also provided additional guidance on teaching Generic Skills in physical education courses, further enriching the participants’ knowledge and expanding their professional capacity.
This training program marked an important step in enhancing the professional competencies of Walailak University’s sports personnel, equipping them to deliver high-quality teaching aligned with international standards and to meet the learning needs of 21st-century students.
